Email template design: ICE Knowledge and conference email templates

Design and build a series of email templates that cover different conferences and sectors.

ICE Conferences
For ICE Conferences, an email template was design and then built using  Campaign Monitor  to build conference awareness and get people to register for the event. All emails were editable to the client, with locked-down main areas that didn’t need editing, so the client could easily edit text only. A banner space was built-in at the bottom for the client to add banners in their standard sizes. The whole suite was colour-coded to reflect the different sectors, with the one shown on the left being for asset management.

ICE Knowledge
For ICE Knowledge, the emails were designed and coded using Campaign Monitor. The newsletter had to bring all that ICE offers into easy-to-understand sections, breaking it down into colour-coded sections for items such as lectures and webinars. There was a coded area key at the bottom, where the user could see the sections. The client needed to be able to edit the blocks and text. So the email template master had a full suite of coloured blocks that they could edit or delete where necessary. The aim was to make it simple for the client to have control over content without being bogged down with code. It kept it visual with a drop-in interface for images.

This technique has been used on other platforms such as Hubpot. The hard-coded email templates are tested for any email client glitches and have unlocked areas for clients to pop in text and images and button links. Other third-party email senders that have been used include Brevo and Mailchimp

Exploring email templates with my HTML coding knowledge can create interesting ways to deliver information to clients and prospective clients.
